After the school exams were over my kids were demanding a short vacations. I had no other option except to visit Mahabaleshwar as it is a popular tourist destination, and the nearest Hill station from Pune, famous for its scenic hill station and strawberry orchards.  On this long drive to our destination after almost two and half hours, we reached MAPRO Garden Panchgani, a decent place to freshen up and have food.

Mapro Garden is owned by Mapro Foods Private Limited, a company native to Mahabaleshwar.  Mapro is a well-known brand across India that specializes in making jams, jellies, crushes, squashes, syrups and chocolates. My kids ordered mock tails and also saw the process of making it.  The kids were excited and the staff was also glad to explain how different combinations of syrups are used to make various drinks.  I was thinking about Mapro’s strategy to reach their prospects directly.

Mapro’s main distribution channel is through various retail outlets, where customer hardly gets to taste and try the products.
